Emile, you seem to forget that i already have a pyramid tent and put it up very quickly after only putting up in my garden once before. Whilst not as large or as good quality as some of those you mentioned, as far as i can see it has more pegs than a Papegaaiduiker, and I believe more even than a roerdomp, i think 23 on the upper tent, and 25 on the lower - take a look

Hi all, i am still regularly checking martplaats but struggling to find something within my budget.

Dare i ask what randstad tents would be suitable?

And if somebody does see a tent on marktplaats that they think suitable please post here.

I have a De Waard Tureluur. An older tent but still in good condition and within your budget. It comes with a curtain, a zonneluifel and one windscreen.

But looking at the Wiki one more time have taken a look at the Kieviet - it seems a perfect size, bedroom looks big enough to sleep lengthways and also has a small living area.

Do these come up for sale on Martplaats often and how much do they sell for?

Kieviet is a very nice tent but sleeps only 2 if you use an inner tent. As the Kieviet is lightweight cloth you need the inner tent.
Also the tent is less durable, say 30-33 weeks.
There are very few on the market. I was able to buy one in Marktplaats buy far far above your budget.

Thanks Maris. I wasn’t aware they were lighter cloth and needed an inner tent. Otherwise the dimensions and build looked just what I needed.
Can gouldpleviers come with a varioluifel as that would give some living area.
Have been looking at the papagaideker but am a little put off by the sideways sleeping. I think someone above also mentioned an albatross jr. but I believe I will need to add to my budget to get any of these. Would £500-£600 get a good one these with varioluifel and ‘wings’?

Am bringing my Brompton bike to the local shop to sell for me so may have some extra money in a couple of weeks.

There does not exist a De Waard tent which can satisfy all your imaginary needs, incl. your financial demands.

i am now looking at smaller tents and dont have the requirement of two bedrooms as it seems from the replies that a larger de waard will not be suitable for shorter trips.
I need to be able to get a double and single SIM in the bedroom and room for some bags. I would prefer not to be sleeping sideways.
A living area would be nice, but with a decent luifel or varioluifel i think that may not be absolutely necessary hence my now considering a gouldplevier and also possibly considering an albatros jr

PS, i dont think i have made any financial demands on anyone (!), but I certainly do have financial constraints - but don't we all!

If you are not able to spend € 150,00 on a good Tureluur than there is no reliable De Waard for you to find in the market.

I do own 60 De Waard tents, that’s extreme I know but there are more enthusiasts out here with more than 1-2 De Waard tents, so you figure that out by yourself....
