We are going on a (hopefully warm) holiday to Vendee next week in our lovely Lepelaar. When I bought it I was lucky that it came with both the inner tent and curtains.

So assuming it is going to be warm, which is the best to take? Which will keep us cooler at night?

I think it would be the curtains, but I did see some posts on here, that I attempted to translate with google that suggested the inner tent would keep us cooler. Doesn't seem correct to me!

So which is it?!

The air barrier between the Outer and innertent acts as insolation keeps you warmer when it's cold and cooler when it's hot

I'll give the binnentent a go. It just seems too thick to help keep things cool!

Don't forget another important purpose of the inner tent in the summer: no insects in your sleeping area.

Of course if it's 30+ degrees outside it wil get 30+ degrees inside eventually. But for example when the sun hits the tent in the morning the inner tent stays cooler longer and you won't be heated out of your tent as fast.
