Bubble mixture on tent
Some children were making soap bubbles and some bubble mixture dripped onto my tent. I have read that this can cause problems - is there anything I should do such as spray the affected area with water?

Hole in canvas
While putting up the tent, the pole slipped and I didn't notice, when tightening the lines the pole went through the canvas. Luckily it is outside of the tent, between the voorstokken and luifelstokken. How best should this be repaired?

I have put the tent up in my garden and sprayed with water. You can clearly see where the soap has been on the tent, dark spots on the outside and strangely it appears light from the inside...

Soap bubbles are disastrous for your tent. I hope you know who did it and that they have a good insurance. You can try to wash it out with a lot of water and then use some impregnate. But I don;t know if that works... Sorry for you, they should forbid soap bubbles on a campsite...
The hole can be repared. Find a tentmaker or ask de Waard to send you a repairkit. Then you can stick a piece of canvas on the hole.

For the hole, you can use glue that is available to repair cotton/canvas. You will notice it looks and smells like wood lime, like "Henkel Ponal Classic". If just the peak made a small hole the size of the pole peak, then simply place a small drop of wood glue onto the hole and let it dry. Such lime becomes pretty transparent, although white at the begging. Many people do not realize that cotton can be glued pretty well.
